  • Building Quietly, Living Creatively

The past few months have been a quiet but meaningful reset. I finally committed to building my portfolio site from the ground up: buying a domain, spinning up a droplet on Digital Ocean, setting up backend security and SSH, and installing WordPress straight from the command line. It’s been a mix of problem-solving and discovery, but there’s something grounding about creating a space online that feels built with intention instead of shortcuts.

Away from the screen, I’ve been spending more time outside, walking, reflecting, and giving myself space to breathe. It’s a small habit, but it’s helped me reconnect with creativity in a way that isn’t tied to algorithms or outcomes. I’m also trying to ease myself back into social media, to rebuild a healthier relationship with sharing my work. It’s still a process, but I’m learning to treat it less like performance and more like another form of expression.

In between all of that, life has stayed wonderfully full. I’ve been a DJ at weddings, high school dances, and everything in between. I’ve also gotten into scrapbooking and journaling, which has become a fun counterbalance to all the tech-heavy stuff. Altogether, it feels like I’m stitching together a new rhythm: building, creating, reflecting, and slowly shaping what this next chapter will look like.
